Studio Sessions Competition Overview

Entries Close:  Midnight, Friday 14 June 2019

1. RINGTONE

Love your new ringtone that you created in Session 3? Upload it to the UPLOAD ZONE as an mp3 file and be in the running to win this category!
Ringtones should be between 20 & 50 seconds in duration.

 

2. REMIX

Mastered a Remix of Pachelbel’s Canon in Session 7? Upload your remix (approx 1 -2 mins) to the UPLOAD ZONE as an mp3 file and be in the running to win this category!
 

3. SOUNDTRACK

If you’ve created a one-minute masterpiece to Big Buck Bunny (Session 10), you can enter this category! Entries need to include audio and video of the one-minute selection to be eligible. Copy and paste a link to your YouTube/Vimeo Soundtrack video in the Upload Zone to be in the running!
 

4. PERFORMANCE

If you’re playing one of the arrangements from the Studio Sessions workbook, enter as a soloist or group (maximum 4 students per group) in the Performance Category. Copy and paste a link to your YouTube/Vimeo video in the Upload Zone to be in the running!

CRITERIA, DATES, & PRIZES

  • Students participating in the competition must be aged between 12 and 16 years as of 1st December 2018.

  • Entry is Free.

  • Students participating must be registered members of the MusicEDU website.

  • Video record your performance using a camcorder, mobile phone, or similar device.

  • Uploading an entry to the website constitutes agreeing to the terms and conditions of the competition.

  • Students must include their name and school either in an introduction on the video or as text to the Upload.

  • Upload your mp3 or paste a link to your YouTube/Vimeo video to the UPLOAD ZONE of the MusicEDU website by the cut-off date.

  • Late entries will not be considered.

  • Teachers must have approved the student's competition entry.

  • See Tips to the UPLOAD ZONE for detailed instructions.

  • Competition Opens: Monday 13th May

  • Competition Closes: Midnight, Friday 14th June

  • Judging commences: Monday 17th June

  • Winners announced: via the website, Friday 21st June

  • Prize winners & selected entries will have their entries displayed in The MusicEDU Showcase

  • The judges' decision is final. Unfortunately, no feedback can be offered to every submission.

  • Prizes will be distributed within 30 days of the announcement.
