Can I have a free trial of the MusicEDU Suite?


MusicEDU pays royalties and copyright licenses to the appropriate parties, therefore we do not release free login trials. The best way to comprehend the MusicEDU Suite and see if it will be the right fit for your school, watch the behind-the-scenes videos or book a virtual tour of the programs.




How can I see the MusicEDU resources?

Can I purchase each program individually rather than all the programs in The Suite?


The MusicEDU Programs have been bundled together as The MusicEDU Suite and cannot be purchased individually. Schools have access to all four programs and have the ability to customise and control what their students see and use.




Where can I see the course overview and outcomes for each of the programs within The MusicEDU Suite?


Contact Us to recieve the course contents and overview of The MusicEDU Programs. Included is a summary of each session, session content, resources provided and supported software.

Please note that we update the program annually, so all content is subject to change.




Do I have to be a tech-nerd to implement the MusicEDU Suite at my school?


No. The MusicEDU Suite has been designed so that all teachers of all tech abilities can teach and facilitate the programs.




What equipment do I need to implement the MusicEDU Suite at my school?


The MusicEDU Suite utilises a range of equipment, including keyboards, guitars, ukuleles, drums (to name a few) as well as computer hardware and software.

During a Virtual Tour of The MusicEDU Suite, we will discuss the resources you have available to you, to ensure you will be in a position to succeed with the programs.

Does MusicEDU sell the recommended equipment for classroom music?

Do I have to be a keyboard player to deliver the Keyboard Evolution Program?


Not at all. Keyboard Evolution is designed so that all teachers can facilitate the program. All Keyboard Evolution repertoire includes not only keyboard scores, but guitar & ukelele tabs and backing tracks.




How many keyboards do I need to implement Keyboard Evolution effectively? Can I use other instruments?


Ideally, every student would have their own keyboard however, the program can be delivered by splitting the class or having two students per keyboard.

Keyboard Evolution repertoire also caters for guitars & ukuleles with tab and chords, providing multiple delivery options.




What music software is compatible with the MusicEDU Suite?


MusicEDU caters for a variety of popular software options including, but not limited to:
- Garageband

- Garageband for iPads

- Mixcraft

- Soundtrap

- ACID Music Studio

- Noteflight

- Sebelius

- Serato Lite

- DJ Pro

If there is a software your school currently uses however, is not listed above. Please reach out and we will inform you of the compatibility with MusicEDU.




What DJ Equipment do I need to implement TrackFormers at my school?


DJ Controllers are designed to be compatible with particular DJ software. It's important to consider students devices prior to investing in DJ Gear.

Student Logins

How do my students login?


You will be emailed student login instructions once your school account and classrooms have been setup on the MusicEDU Website.

If you have not received this email, please get in contact with our team.




How do I reset a student's password?

Students are able to change their password by clicking on their name (top middle of screen) and following the prompts to RESET PASSWORD.

If they forget their password, they are able to retrieve it from the website by clicking on "I've lost my password" under the LOGIN button. The website will send them an email to the email address provided to MusicEDU in the registration process (usually their school email address).




How do I edit a student's name or email address?


Follow these steps:

Step 1: Login to the MusicEDU website and click on TEACHER ZONE (top middle of the page near drop-down menu).

Step 2: Locate the CLASSROOM tab (left-hand menu) and select the correct classroom.

Step 3: Locate and click on the Student's name.

Step 4: Edit the Student Name or Email Address.

Step 5: Press SAVE.

Step 6: To exit this area of the website, click on the ARROW next to your name on the top left-hand side of the screen. You will be taken back to the normal LOGIN area for the MusicEDU website.




I'm seeing the wrong program when I login. What do I do?


Use the drop-down menu on the top right-hand side to navigate between the programs you have access to.

Teachers will always view all programs in The MusicEDU Suite. Students may see a customized view, depending on the choices made by their Music Department.





Classroom Setup

How do I add an additional student to a classroom?


If you have one or two new students to add to a classroom, please login to he MusicEDU Website and head to Teacher Resources/Getting Started.

Click on the option to Add Extra Student(s) and follow the prompts.




My school has a block on YouTube videos for the students. How can my students still view these?


If the YouTube clips are blacked out for your students, it means the school's proxy server has blocked them. You may be able to get IT to lift the block on them for the MusicEDU website.

Alternatively, all the videos are saved on our server and are viewable by clicking on the video heading.




How do I exit the classroom management system?


To exit the Classroom Management area of the website, click on the ARROW next to your name (on the top left-hand side of the screen).

You will be taken back to the normal LOGIN area for the MusicEDU website.




How do I add a new teacher to my MusicEDU Subscription?


If you have a new staff member who requires access, login to he MusicEDU Website and head to Teacher Resources/Getting Started.

Click on the option to Add Extra Teacher(s) and follow the prompts.




How do I add another classroom to my MusicEDU Subscription?


If you needadd to a classroom, please login to he MusicEDU Website and head to Teacher Resources/Getting Started. Click on the option to Add Extra Classroom(s) and follow the prompts.




How do I set up our Classrooms?


The MusicEDU Team will set these up for you. Your Head of Music will have been sent the details of how to get the Classrooms and students loaded to the website. If you need to add, change or edit your classroom setup, login to the MusicEDU website and head to Teacher Resources/Getting Started.





Quick Quizzes

How do I export my student quiz results?


You can export the results of an entire class or alternatively one student at a time to an excel spreadsheet.

Step 1: Click on TEACHER ZONE (top middle of page near drop-down menu).

Step 2: Locate the CLASSROOM tab (left-hand menu) and select the correct classroom.

Step 3: Select the Student Name you would like to export results from.

Step 4: Click on the HISTORIES TAB (top right-hand side).

Step 5: Press EXPORT to CSV.




How do I export an entire classes' results?


You can export the results of an entire class or alternatively one student at a time to an excel spreadsheet.

Step 1: Click on TEACHER ZONE (top middle of page near drop-down menu).

Step 2: Locate the CLASSROOM tab (left-hand menu) and select the correct classroom.

Step 3: Select the Classroom you would like to export results from.

Step 4: Scroll down past the student names and you will see HISTORIES.

Step 5: Press EXPORT to CSV.

Step 6: To exit this area of the website, click on the ARROW next to your name, on the top left-hand side of the screen. You will be taken back to the normal LOGIN area for the MusicEDU website.




Where can I find the answers to the Quick Quizzes?


To find answers to the Quick Quizzes, login to the MusicEDU website and go to Teacher Resources /Suggested Answers.




Why can't my student see a Quick Quiz?


Once a student has completed a Quick Quice two times, the website will lock them out from seeing/completing that Quiz again. This is an intentional feature, to ensure these formative assessments provide teachers with an accurate indication of a students progress and understanding of the Session content.





Teacher Support

We have a new teacher. How do I get them a login to the website?


If you have a new staff member who requires access, login to he MusicEDU Website and head to Teacher Resources/Getting Started.

Click on the option to Add Extra Teacher(s) and follow the prompts.




Is there professional development available for teachers?


Yes! Teachers are welcome to watch PD videos and accrue Professional Development hours. After watching the videos, your time will be automatically registered and MusicEDU can send you a certificate upon request. (You must watch the videos fully before our system will automatically register your time.)

Steps to view the PD videos:

  1. Log into the MusicEDU website:

  2. Select the MusicEDU program from the drop-down menu in the top right hand side of the page.

  3. Look in the left sidebar and click on Teacher Resources.

  4. Within the Teacher Resources scroll-down menu you will see the PD categories.
